Anthony J. Riposta, Esq.

Specializing in Trial Work

I became a lawyer in 1979. Although I did not know what area of law I wanted to focus on, I felt a surge of energy every time I went to court; and I made the decision to become a trial lawyer.

I tried my first jury trial in 1981 in Sussex County Superior Court – McDonald vs. Allstate Insurance Company. It was a rush and I could hardly sleep I was so nervous. I must admit I had no idea what I was doing, but thankfully the Honorable Judge Quinn was very kind and allowed me to try the case without stumbling too badly and the outcome was a success.

I continued to try case after case and in 1983, the first year the New Jersey Supreme Court established the trial attorney certification program, I sat for and passed the written examination which, along with my substantial trial experience, enabled me to obtain my initial certification as a civil trial attorney. This certification is not easily obtained and of the many lawyers admitted to the bar in New Jersey only a small percentage have this certification. I have been re-certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey multiple times since 1983.

As of 2021, I have been a practicing trial lawyer for over 40-years. I have been blessed with many great clients. It has been an honor and a privilege to represent them and their families. Many, many of our clients have come back for help with new legal problems and have referred their loved ones and friends for representation. As a professional, there is no better feeling than knowing our clients have that level of trust, faith, and confidence in me and our firm.

In 2009, I had the good fortune to be introduced to a young, aspiring Rutgers Law School student who worked initially as a law clerk for the firm and, upon admission to the Bar in 2010, joined the firm as an associate attorney. I knew early on that Cory Anne Cassidy was an exceptional human being who was going to become a good lawyer. So much so that after several years Cory became my partner in 2016 and, on January 1, 2021, the name of the firm was officially changed to Riposta Cassidy LLC. If you decide to retain our firm to represent you, I know you will have the opportunity and pleasure to meet Cory. You will not be disappointed.

I would be remiss if I did not mention Kristy R. Miller, who has been the most amazing secretary, assistant, paralegal, office manager, and all-around problem solver for me since 1998. If you do decide to retain us as your legal counsel, you will have a chance to meet Kristy and, as with Cory, you will be very pleased to know her.

I would be further remiss if I did not mention Bonnie L. Binetti, who has been the firm’s secretary since 2003. She answers the phone and helps everyone stay calm. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. We are most fortunate to have her work for the firm. I hope you have a chance to meet Bonnie too.

Gabrielle L. Mulvanerton joined the firm as a paralegal in March 2020, right at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. She is doing a great job. We hope she has found a second home and remains with us as long as Kristy and Bonnie have!

If you have read to this point, I thank you for taking the time and your interest in Riposta Cassidy. We pride ourselves in being different in that we really do care about our clients and their families and strive to obtain the most favorable outcome for them regardless of the circumstances.

Although the pressures and deadlines of practicing law do not always afford us the time to show it, we believe every one of our clients is a unique human being and we try our best to get to know them and treat them as such.

I hope that you will take a moment to look around our website. Please keep in mind that legal representation is a very personal, human one-on-one relationship.

If you are serious about finding a good lawyer, one who will protect your interests as if it were their own, please feel free to contact us so that we can better understand how we may be of service to you.

Sincerely,

Tony Riposta
